~Funky Summer Flamingo Wreath~

Who's ready for summer? This girl right here is!!
I wanted to make a fun summer wreath and I think I hit the spot just right with this wreath!
It's fun, funky, colorful, and screams let's go take a dip in the pool!

I used 3 different types of colored deco mesh from Creative Gift Packaging and 2 different types of ribbon from Hobby Lobby.
The  cute flamingo is from the wonderful Hobby Lobby.

I showed my friends this wreath and a sweet lady bought it right away!!! Can you believe that?!!!
She loved it! She said her Mama loves flamingos and is going to flip over it!  It will be her Mother's Day gift.
I'm just over the moon that she bought it!

If you need one made like this one, I can make another one!
Just let me know!

Have a good weekend everyone!

P.S. I wonder how many !!! I made in this post? lol!

~Updated~ Farmhouse Style Rooster Wreath

I have received positive feedback on my rooster wreath. Thank you for all the lovely comments!
One, really nice lady told me you could barely see the rooster and I needed to do something to break the black up.
I took her advice and moved the rooster and added more of the beautiful thick black and white gingham to the inner circle. I like this way much better.

~Updated version!!~

If any one is interested to purchase this wreath, please leave me a comment!
Mother's Day is coming up!

Thanks again for the feedback!

Rooster Gingham Deco Mesh Wreath

I've been practicing making wreaths.
I would love to be really good at it one day, to make it my full time job.
It's fun to dream of being your own boss one day, right?!

Anyway, after seeing so many beautiful wreaths online, I headed to Hobby Lobby.
I seriously love that store! They have the prettiest ribbons!

I think I did pretty good for it only being my fourth wreath I've ever made.
Feels good to be crafty again! I bought some chevron ribbon, too. Can't wait to make a wreath with that ribbon.

Stay tuned!

What have I been up to?

My poor blog........I have put you on the back burner.
Anyway, how are you? I hope you are good! :)
I thought I would let you know that I decided I don't want to be fat anymore. I hate seeing pictures of me looking this way. I also, hate not seeing pictures of me with my boys and husband because I'm ashamed.
I've been a stay at home mom now for four years and boy, you can tell! Mama has back and a whole lot of other not so good stuff. I just let myself go. That is no excuse!

I joined the gym again and they have childcare there. I've been going 5-6 days a week for the last 14 weeks. Woo hoo! I lift weights and do 30 minutes of cardio a day. For my weight lifting, I focus on one body part a day. For example today, I did just shoulders exercises. Last week I started taking some classes. I'm really enjoying them.

My diet has changed big time! No more junk food and no more starving myself. I eat as clean as possible. The good thing I already knew how to cook everything. My husband has been eating this way for years. I also, drink a gallon of water a day. I leave my jug sitting on my kitchen counter so I can see how much I have left.

Another thing I have been working on is SLEEP! I still have to force myself to bed, but I feel so much better not staying up until 2 am.

So, how much have I lost? As of right now 8 pounds. I know that's not much, but I can see inches gone! My clothes are bigger and I no longer have to use a hair bow to keep my pants together! My jeans are really baggy now. It is frustrating to see only this little amount of weight gone, but it's better than nothing and gaining weight.

So, that is what I've been up to. I'm not giving up. I don't care how long it takes me I will be at my first goal's weight.

29 more pounds to go!

Easter Memories 2013

 Easter cuties!

Hunting Easter eggs at Papa's and Mema's house.
I found the golden egg again this year!
Mema puts a twenty dollar bill in there! ;)

Easter goodies left from the Easter Bunny.

He even left me one!
I was not expecting this at all! I felt like a kid again!
So happy.

Easter Fun

We took the boys to the local college egg hunt on Saturday.
I wasn't sure what the weather would be like on Sunday, so we went just in case.

Little G wanted nothing to do with that Easter bunny. hahaha!

Gosh, they look just a like!

They had a lot of fun at the egg hunt.
They even received black Bob's shoes(like crocs) and a book! lol!
That's a strange combination for an Easter egg hunt. Not complaining here. ;)

Awards Day

Big G earned principals honor again for the third nine weeks!

I had to attend parent teacher conference that week.
His teacher says that he still needs help with reading and she thinks he needs to be tested for a reading disability. I'm not against it. I'm just confused. He continues to make all A's and was also tested for the gifted program and yet, he struggles with reading? To me, he has improved 1000% from the beginning of the school year. His teacher says he is the most determined student in her class and that he tries so  hard at everything. I appreciate that she notices these things.  We will find out in the summer  if he made the GT program. If not, he will be tested again in the fall.

I'm so proud of him, no matter what!

Eight years old

Happy 8th Birthday!!!

I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this before here on my blog,
but I have the worst luck with cakes. Every birthday stresses me out. I always pick up the cakes the day before now, too!
This is not the original cake. His cake was a Hot Wheels cake. It looked like my 4 year old made it. I left it there and went some where else.  So anyway, Scooby Doo it is! lol!

He loved his cake! Hey, Mama tried! ;)

I made each one a little goodie bucket. That made little G feel special, too!

Happy 8th Birthday! I hope your day was special for you!

Finally, The Dark Dungeon Changes

Every since we had Little G over 4 years ago, we kicked Big G out of the nursery and into the dark dungeon. I never decorated this room. I've bought cool stuff over the years and stored it. I don't know why I was so lazy about this.

Dark blue walls still show lots of nastiness.
I don't even want to talk about the carpet.
Little boys are rough!

Here it is right now! I still have a lot to do.
Does this bed look girly. I bought it 2 years ago at an yard sale for $15.00. It's solid wood.
I'm on the look out for pictures now. I'm just glad it doesn't look like the Sanford and Son room anymore. hahaha!

I guess I have a good reason to hit up some antique stores now! ;)

Have a good week!
