Our Carolina Porch 2011

Welcome to our summer porch!
My porch is my favorite part about our home.
I love it decked out in red, white and blue!
I can't wait to see other porches!

Cute little rusty wagon to greet you!
There's Pesky the Rooster! Thanks Jane!

Here's the other side of the porch.

My dad made me this chair last year for my birthday.
I love it!

We love our state flag!
Palmetto pride!

Here's my poor Japanese Maple tree. Something is killing it.
Any help on saving a tree?

I bought the banner rug from ebay. Sold by Collections Etc.

Well that's all!

Don't look to close! There's spider webs everywhere!
To bad Halloween is a few months away!

I hope you enjoyed our porch!
Have a wonderful week!

Your porch is so cute!! I love all the red, white and blue and the wagon is just adorable. I can't get over the chair your father made you...is that willow?

Everything looks so pretty. I don't know much about trees. Have you tried Googling it?

Happy Tuesday!!

XO,
Jane

Jenn, love the front porch. That yellow chair with the watering can on it is the cutest thing. Thanks for joining the summer blog party.

Hi Jennifer-

I don't have a covered porch and would love to have one so
I could have rockers and decorate it. I have a deck, but a porch is so much more special - like being able to sit out on it when it rains. Yours looks so inviting and festive.
My best- Diane

This is such a charming welcome! Love the beautiful ferns ... the white rockers with the cute pillows ... the patriotic splashes and the chair your father made is too cool! Where in SC are you? We live right by North Myrtle. *Becca* (your newest follower)

Love your front porch! We had a huge Japenese Maple that died. I hated that. We didn't know what to do for it either.

Love all your red, white and blue on the porch. I am from the great state of South Carolina too! But live in Georgia for the moment. Our Japanese maples seem to suffer in the heat. Did you fertilize it back in the spring? I would suggest taking a section of leaves to a local nurseryman and getting help there. That's what I do. We also put tons of lime every where twice a year but you need a soil sample, the soil here is very acid. ♥Olive

Gosh darn! It was so good to see Pesky. Looks like he has settled down and likes guarding your front steps. Love all your items on your porch, especially the little chair with the watering can. Love your polka dot pillows, too. Just where did you find the patriotic rug?

Look at you! Love the yellow chair and watering can! All of your plants are looking so good too! You should know I am loving your potato vine in the wagon with those flowers. What a great way to arrange them. I also love seeing your ferns hanging there. I quit hanging them on our front porch because they just get to fried from the afternoon sun. I love ferns on the porch though! Everything looks so festive and ready for the holiday! Beautiful Jennifer!

We have a decent little porch, but I'd trade it for a couple of the ones in those pictures. Lovely home too. :)

I love your red door and all the cute little touches on your porch. Your tree might be the victim of a fungus that is carried by a beetle. We lost all of our red bay trees two years ago to that stinking little beetle. You could call your county extension office to see if they can help you. You have a lovely home thanks for sharing. Em
